“Everything we hoped for and more…”

Almost two years ago we (two families with adult children, 8 persons) decided to visit Namibia. We believe in a thorough preparation and took some time to compare different companies and possibilities. We obtained for a safari with a driver tailor made according to our wishes. From a travel magazine we came in contact with Atelier Africa and contacted Timo and Michelle. Right from the start we were charmed by their professionalism, enthusiasm and correctness. They came up with an itinerary proposal, various lodges and activities to choose from. Different counterproposals from our side were discussed by mail and eventually included without any problem. Timo and Michelle visited us even at home during one of their European hop overs to discuss the final plans. The financial picture was very clear from the beginning without any “hidden” surprises.
We are now a few days back home after a truly astonishing trip. We made a “counter clock trip ” in Namibia of 15 days visiting Okonjima (Plains Camp), Etosha east (Onguma Bush Camp), Etosha West (Epacha Game Lodge), Damaraland (Mowani Mountain Camp), Swakopmund (Desert Breeze), Sossusvlei (Le Mirage), Kalahari Desert (Zebra Kalahari Lodge) and Gocheganas. It was hard , perhaps impossible, to name a “top 3”. All of the places were simply fantastic. The organization was perfect without any unpleasant surprise. Both the elderly participants and the youth (20-28y) had a wonderful time. Our driver John was very professional and always eager to fulfill our wishes and we learned some “Afrikaans”.
We have seen a lot of places in the world but Namibia has stolen our hearts. To see this country with all her treasures we can only recommend Atelier Afrika, Timo and Michelle. Thanks to both of you !!
Already we have some plans to take another trip to Botswana and let there be no doubt: we go with Atelier Afrika!

Dealing with the company was fantastic – I knew what I wanted to do and the length of time I had and Atelier took care of the rest. Information came timely and considering the speed with which everything had to be executed, they did a great job in organizing everything. The places recommended and location of activities were top-notch. The driver in Rwanda was fabulous. He was really informative and willing to talk about anything and everything.

“Thanks to Timo & Michele - Namibia roadtrip”

Last week, we went on a 15 day safari trip through Namibia. We got in touch with Atelier Africa a year ago before our trip. They were very helpful with us from the beginning. They asked us how long we would stay in Namibia and then they came up with a personalised road trip! We travelled 3500km all around this wonderful country! We stayed in the best lodges, we had an unforgettable balloon safari,we went camping,etc...whatever you request, Atelier Africa would arrange it. We had the time of our life and that would not be possible without the support of Timo & Michel, therefore thank you both very much for this!! We are planning to visit Zambia in the next coming years with the kids and without a doubt we will ask Atelier Africa for a personalised road trip!!

First time Africa, first time tailored made holiday, but what an experience!

The astonishing scenery, the friendliness of the local people, the excellent food and the majestic natural playground we encountered made from this stay in Namibia a holiday which only can be expressed by superlatives, thanks to the extensive knowledge of and the meticulous preparation by Atelier Africa Safaris.

The strength of Timo and Michèle is their capacity to assess your expectations sharply and with an incredible friendliness, allowing them to organize the perfect tailored made holiday which emphasizes the vastness and diversity which Namibia is able to offer.

As we visited a few times South Africa and Kenya, Namibia was on our bucket list for quite a long time already. We pointed out the date to make this trip on our 25th wedding anniversary and meeting Louise, our best South African friend, over there. A safari starts the day you make your plans... and this way we cybermet with Timo and Michele. As from the start we had the right 'click'. Tailormade is the right word. It was exactly what we wanted for this kind of trip !

First of all, the car ! Atelier Africa was the only one who quote us standard a 4x4, so that was already where we decided to go ahead with them :). The double tank avoides having fuel problems !

As we had 12 days in Namibia, Timo helped us to point out the right highlights and as for us in the good direction... The nice mail conversations we had preparing our trip, made it feel like meeting an old friend when we arrived.

Flying from Frankfurt we could start our journey an early monday morning. Picking up the car and having a nice breakfast meeting with Timo to look at the details.
Intu Afrika was the right spot to start, the tented camp at Surricate Lodge brought back the Africa feeling as from the start. As from there it only went crescendo.. Le Mirage and the amazing Sossusvlei, Swakopmund Hotel and the Mola Mola Cruise - a realy nice experience - driving to Twyfelfontein, the spirit of Grootberg Lodge and tracking the desert elephants, looking at great skies. At Epacha we had the time of our life... "tailormade" as Louise and Timo worked out some very nice surprises and in-between visiting Etosha...Last days at Okondjima and Africat added yet another dimension.

And then it all ends where it begun... a good bottle of wine with Timo in Windhoek, looking back at two wonderful weeks, and already making plans for the next trip...
You might leave Africa but (atelier) Africa never leaves you !
