Tongabezi Lodge & Livingstone Island
An unforgettable experience at one of the 7 natural wonders of the World!
Located upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls on the banks of the Zambezi River is a luxurious privately owned lodge that oozes romance. Surrounded by evergreen riverside flora and picturesque views, its spectacular setting provides an atmosphere of elegance and exclusivity, all supported by magical accommodations and a warm and attentive service.
The lodge’s accommodation is spread along the waterfront and guests can choose from independently designed houses and cottages, catering for a variety of tastes and requirements. The Honeymoon House, Bird House, Tree House, Dog House, Nut House, River Cottages, and Garden House all have their own individual magic!
But an important feature for all of the lodgings at Tongabezi is the personal valet service provided by each house and cottage, taking the ultimate care of a guest’s needs throughout their stay.
Magical candlelit floating dinners
An unforgettable romantic surprise!
Love is at the core of every detail at the lodge which makes Tongabezi the best option for honeymoons, romantic getaways, and destination weddings.
Magical candlelit floating dinners on a Sampan in the middle of the Zambezi River, dreamy sunset dhow cruises, and private dinners venues with fabulous African design, gorgeous views, and absolute comfort are just a few of the highlights that guests can expect.
Livingstone Island & Devils’Pool!
There is no set pattern for days at Tongabezi. Guests are offered the freedom to do as much or as little as they wish. The most exciting activity offered is undoubted encounters with African wildlife. With Tongabezi’s inclusive game drives, bush walks and boating trips, getting up close and personal with the African bush and its game is part of the experience. Meanwhile, the Victoria Falls is another attraction which can be experienced on foot, in the National park, from inside the lodge and from Livingstone Island. Alternatively, a thrilling boat trip to Livingstone Island, where David Livingstone caught his first glimpse of the mighty falls, is also available.
Nothing is too much at Tongabezi and that’s the true beauty of the romantically and charming lodge.
