Wild Luxury
Five-star accommodation is available in six tented suites that blend seamlessly into the striking natural surrounds.
There are four one-bedroom en-suite tents, and two family tents. The private sanctuaries honour traditional local Maasai culture in every detail, blended with every conceivable modern comfort.
The main lodge area boasts a plunge pool, and a pool sala for al fresco dining under African skies. There is also a bar deli offering fresh snacks for guests to munch on all day long.
Culinary Culture
The flavours served up at Mara River are inspired by a blend of new and traditional African cuisine, and embrace fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The wine list has racked up a number of awards, too, and guests can enjoy personalised wine tastings and perfect pairings guided by experienced sommeliers.
Wilderness Explorations
When not relaxing in the privacy of your suite, soaking up the sun on your private deck or soaking in your bathtub overlooking the Mara River, there are a myriad of activities on offer.
The twice-daily game drives are – of course – the absolute highlight of any visit. Guests are given access to some of Africa’s most wild and remote spaces, and the opportunity to see African wildlife up close and personal. Wildlife you are likely to see include leopard, lion, cheetah, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe, bat eared fox, and monkey.
There are also ample bird watching opportunities, with twitchers from far and wide visiting to marvel at the grey kestrel, brown parrot, grey-crowned cranes, African cuckoo, martial eagle, sunbird, whydah, and more.
For a truly unforgettable way to experience the breathtaking flora and fauna, embark on a hot air balloon sunrise safari!
After an eventful day out, surrender to the relaxation on offer at the spa, or join a restorative yoga class.
While you’re taking some much-needed time out, the kids can enjoy a range of exciting activities, including interactive cooking, star gazing, arts and crafts, movies, games, and more.
