Mahali Mzuri

The stunning wildlife of Kenya meets world-class luxury at Mahali Mzuri

Beautiful place

“Mahali Mzuri” is a Swahili phrase that translates to “beautiful place”, and it certainly lives up to its name. The resort sits in the spectacular plains of the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy and is comprised of a camp of luxury tents owned by Sir Richard Branson. The camp’s location makes it the perfect place to watch the Kenyan wildlife roam the landscape, whether you are relaxing at the camp or enjoying a game drive. No matter what you choose, you will be sure to leave with a calm mind and a full heart.

The camp is wonderfully quiet and intimate, accommodating a maximum of only 24 guests at any one time. There are 12 tents, 10 of which can sleep 2 guests and can be fitted with either twin beds or a king size bed. The 2 remaining tents have four-poster king size beds and can accommodate an extra two people on sofa beds in the lounge. Each tent comes with an en-suite bathroom, private deck, and absolutely breath-taking views.

World-class chefs

Other facilities of the camp include a bar, the main deck, and lounge area and a spacious dining tent. Mahali Mzuri’s world-class chefs offer a wide variety of cuisines from around Africa, made with locally-sourced ingredients. Guests can choose to enjoy their meals under the stars, in the dining tent, on their personal deck, or even as a BBQ or picnic in the bush. Breakfast is a continental buffet with freshly baked pastries and bread, while lunch and dinner are ordered from a menu. Dishes can also be customised to suit each guest’s dietary requirements.

A unique experience

What makes the camp particularly special is its immersion in the natural environment. A variety of animals roam freely around the camp, enabling guests to marvel at the majesty of Africa from the comfort of their tents. But while the camp offers the chance to unwind in peace and quiet, guests cannot miss the chance to explore Kenya’s beautiful landscape in a more adventurous manner. Game drives happen twice daily, allowing you to discover the flora and fauna of Kenya, both big and small. Mahali Mzuri has a number of expert guides that will ensure you have an unforgettable experience. If you time your visit right, you can witness the famous Great Migration of wildebeest and other animals across the continent.

Other activities include taking a dip in the resort’s massive infinity pool, enjoying a blissful spa treatment and embarking on a tour of the Maasai Community. Trips to the local Maasai villages are an excellent opportunity for visitors to learn more about the Maasai culture, and guests can help to milk and herd livestock and visit the local school to interact with the Maasai children.

Mahali Mzuri offers visitors a unique experience that allows them to get in touch with the natural beauty of African while still enjoying world-class accommodation.
