Celebrating 21 Years in Namibia

Namibia. Just the name alone brings a sense of adventure, wide-open spaces, and a sky so big it makes you feel small in the best way possible. But did you know that Namibia is so much more than just desert? After 21 years of exploring every hidden gem, every winding road, and every breathtaking landscape, we can confidently say that this country never stops surprising us.

Back in April 2004, Timo packed up and moved to Namibia, setting off on a journey that would lead to unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, and – most importantly – the birth of Atelier Africa. Over the years, we’ve built an incredible network of connections, which is why we’ve even been hosting The Expedition TV show here. Namibia is home, and after two decades of adventure, we know exactly how to make it an unforgettable journey for you, too.

Yes, the towering dunes of Sossusvlei are legendary, and the Skeleton Coast has a raw, mysterious beauty unlike anywhere else. But Namibia is also lush river valleys, wildlife-rich savannas, and dramatic mountain ranges. There’s nothing quite like spending a day on the water with Louis from Fisherman’s Guesthouse. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just want to try your hand at catching something fresh from the Atlantic, this is an experience you won’t forget. 

Often called Namibia’s Matterhorn, Spitzkoppe is a dream for hikers and rock climbers. The views from the top? Absolutely worth the effort. And if you’re lucky, you’ll catch one of Namibia’s famous golden sunsets from up there.
